Harris Field has been kind to the Lewis-Clark Cubs at the Clancy Ellis Tournament and that theme continued for the hosts Saturday evening against the Nampa Braves.
George Lopez and Trayton Skinner each contributed three hits - both also had doubles - and a 12-hit barrage helped the Cubs cruise past Nampa 12-2 in five innings.
L-C, now 4-0 in its own tournament, faces FM Sports of Redmond, Wash., at 3 p.m. at Harris Field. A win places the Cubs in the championship game later tonight.
"As a team, it feels like we're playing good baseball right now," L-C coach Ramon Royce said. "Playing the game the right way."
Coy Stout also had multiple hits and a double for the Cubs in Saturday evening's game.
Tui Moliga conceded just a single run in his four innings on the hill and Skinner was solid in relief.
