Dalton Hart conceded just three runs before giving up the ball to Mason Daniel and the Lewis-Clark Cubs starter also shelled out three hits with a double to help his own cause in a mercy-rule win at the Clancy Ellis Tournament.
"He did a lot of things right today," said Cubs coach Ramon Royce, whose club improved to 3-0 in tournament play.
Tyson Wallace and George Lopez were also part of the three-hit club while Jason Hanchett slugged out two with a double.
"You just have those days where everything comes together and guys were seeing the ball well and just making solid contact," Royce said. "I hope we didn't use all of our hits today."
