RATHDRUM - Northern Lakes managed to sink the Lewis-Clark Cubs with big innings in both games of a league doubleheader.
The Rathdrum team won by the scores of 8-2 and 10-3.
Northern Lakes erupted for six runs in the third inning of the opener and five tallies in the fifth inning of the second tilt.
"Two innings haunted us," Cubs coach Ramon Royce said.
L-C did get strong pitching from Dawson Bonfield in most of the opener, and Garrett Beckman clubbed his first prep-level homer in that game.
