OROFINO - The Orofino Merchants claimed a walk-off victory in Wednesday's first game, but the Lewis-Clark Cubs bounced back in the second contest to forge an American Legion baseball split Wednesday.
The Merchants won 3-2 while the Cubs took their game 9-6.
Orofino brought in the winning run in the seventh inning off an L-C error, which was committed on a ball batted by Bayley Noah.
In the second game, the Cubs scored five runs in the third to take the lead for good.
L-C got three hits from Coy Stout while George Lopez and Garrett Beckman notched two knocks apiece.
